A 2005 Parks and Needs Assessment determined that the 1975 Onesty Pool in Meade Park was beyond the point of cost-effective repair and in need of replacement. In order to ensure the best use of funding and park land, a planning process began in 2006. In the summer of 2009, the new Meade Park Onesty Pool, designed by Kimley-Horn & Associates and Counsilman-Hunsaker, was revealed to a capacity crowd.

The 7,850 sq. ft. Recreation Pool features:

  • Current river
  • Zero depth entry
  • Themed lily pad walk
  • Open-flumed waterslide
  • Tee-cup-style spray feature
  • Three lane 25-yard lap pool reaching 12 ft. depth
  • 1-meter diving
  • Themed tot slide
  • Underwater seating with therapy jets

Children’s interactive play feature with tipping bucket, small slide, and┬áspray bollards that squirt, shoot, and dump water from all angles
