Northwest YMCA Southeast YMCAThe Southeast branch YMCA originally opened its door in 1981. After several renovations and additions, including a new multi-purpose pool in 2013, the Southeast branch now offers 162,000 sq. ft. of exercise areas, childcare rooms, and community gathering space. The new natatorium features:

3,500 sq. ft. Multi-Purpose Pool

  • Two 25-yard lap lanes
  • Zero depth entry and stair entry
  • Family pool/aerobics area
  • Children’s play feature
  • Children’s splash area
  • Pool depths ranging from 3.5 ft. to 9 ft.

120 sq. ft Spa

  • Hydrotherapy bench seating

 

Northwest YMCA Branch – Opened December 2013

The new 55,000 sq. ft. Northwest branch YMCA is a state-or-the-art facility surrounded by 120 wooded acres and is truly the center of the community. Within the YMCA is space dedicated to IU Health for physical therapy, orthopedic services, sports medicine, and health and wellness services. The new natatorium features:

4,500 sq. ft. Multi-Purpose Pool

Counsilman-Hunsaker was commissioned by Monroe County YMCA to provide a Facility

Operations Audit for the Southeast YMCA in Bloomington, Indiana. The audit reviewed current policies and procedures including opening and closing operations, daily cleaning and maintenance, water quality, documentation practices, disinfection, and water testing. The audit was requested in response to the positive result in testing multiple surfaces for pseudomonas aeruginosa. The audit identified these items and the specific observations and recommendations.
