Northview High School

Grand Rapids, MI

Northview HS Northview HS

Northview Public School District was faced with deciding  whether to invest $30 million in major renovations or to build a new high school estimated at $80 million. Deciding to renovate the existing facility, about two-thirds of the school now features new construction with major technology improvements. The three-year project also included improvements to mechanical and electrical systems with energy-efficient boilers, lighting, insulation, and windows.

The former pool was transformed into a new fitness center outfitted with 18 weight machines donated by East Hills Athletic Club, and the beautiful new 25-yard indoor pool features 13 swimming lanes. The airy structure is a marvel of design, technology, and amenities.
