Moody Nolan, under the guidance of internationally acclaimed architect Antoine Predock, had a vision for the design of a one-of-a-kind student recreation complex for The Ohio State University campus. That vision became a reality, and today the campus features a 600,000 sq. ft. award-winning recreation center, designed with innovative form and state-of-the-art amenities for the entire student population to use and enjoy.

The Bill and Mae McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion houses seven bodies of water. The Pavilion’s main attraction is the Mike Peppe natatorium, which includes:

  • 50-meter by 25-meter competition pool
  • Two movable bulkheads
  • 4,600 sq. ft. dive pool
  • Diving tower with 1-, 3-, 5-, 7½-, and 10-meter diving
  • Two whirlpool spas (154 sq. ft. and 212 sq. ft.)
  • 4,700 sq. ft. 25-yard lap pool with eight lap lanes with a moveable floor
  • 3,500 sq. ft. 25-yard recreation pool with six lap lanes
  • 2,850 sq. ft. leisure pool with aquatic playground, vortex, underwater benches, and bubble couches
  • Spectator seating capacity for 1400 patrons
