In 1998, Counsilman-Hunsaker performed a Feasibility Study to evaluate options for developing a new outdoor aquatic center for the City of Fenton, a suburb located near St. Louis, Missouri. Each approach was analyzed for the required scope of work, programming benefits, and project costs.

Based on the analysis of the Feasibility Study, the community voted to build a new outdoor aquatic center, which was completed in June 1999.

The aquatic center features the latest trend in combining pools, waterslides, and water toys all in one location through innovation and technology.

Amenities include:

  • 5,098 sq. ft. Outdoor Pool
  • Large waterslide
  • Current channel
  • Children’s interactive activities such as spray hoses, water umbrellas, and squirting water toys
  • Zero-depth entry and shallow water play area for small children
  • 3,456 sq. ft. 25-yard lap pool with six lap lanes and two diving boards
  • 3,456 sq. ft. Indoor Pool
  • Three fitness lap lanes
  • Waterslide
  • Whirlpool spa

In this one facility, the City of Fenton was able to meet the aquatic needs of people of all ages, swimming abilities, and interests.
