Facility Manager

From pool tests, opening and closing to injury and illness reports, Counsilman-Hunsaker’s new, customizable Facility Manager web-based application will make record-keeping simple and risk management more manageable.

At Counsilman-Hunsaker, we know exactly what it takes to build a successful aquatic center from design to daily operations. We also realize that managing paperwork in a wet environment with staggered employee shifts can feel a little counter-intuitive. And if you’re managing multiple facilities, your “problem” pools may keep you away from important items.

NSPF LogoThat’s why Counsilman-Hunsaker is excited to partner with the National Swimming Pool Foundation to offer Facility Manager, a web-based application that allows you to complete, update and review your records in real-time and online. Whether you’re on site or mobile, you’ll have access to your data, wherever you are.

Standardized options, auto-fill for key fields and automated prompts help keep you from overlooking required items. Customizable email templates and alerts save time and keeps the right people informed. This means your facility records will contain more facts and details that are easier to read and more consistent. You’ll also minimize time with access to real-time data right in your pocket.

Developed using the MAHC as a guideline, Counsilman-Hunsaker and the National Swimming Pool Foundation offers Facility Manager as a licensed product. Cost will depend on the modules you choose to include. We will set up your customized checklist at no additional cost and provide the training needed to get started. You will determine the users, the reports they have access to and the level of access. Of course, Counsilman-Hunsaker will be available virtually for technical questions throughout your use.

Facility Manager will simplify risk management and daily documentation with these components.

1. Pool test.

This feature will empower your staff to log pool test readings online, and you to access the data anytime, from anywhere. Beyond the regular pH and chlorine tests, the program will also calculate water balance. Once an employee fills in pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, water temperature, cyanuric acid and TDS, the program will auto-calculate water balance. You can also create your own “local” benchmarks while comparing your data to MAHC guidelines.

2. Checklists.

With this module, you will be able to easily update daily, weekly, or custom checklists electronically. You will intuitively document needed repairs with deadlines, completion dates and even before and after photos. Based on your settings, the app will also auto-send repair notes to your maintenance contact.

3. In-services.

This module allows you to report lifeguard training information including employee names, types of in-service, and equipment used.

4. Pool closure forms.

Pool closure reports will allow you to track reasons for closures, including inclement weather, water quality issues and recreational water illness, as well as the details applicable to each. It will also prompt for information about any corrective actions taken.

5. Illness and injury documentation.

In the past, illness and injury reports may have been lacking in facts, professionalism or readability. But with Facility Manager, your staff will be prompted to complete required fields, so that your data will be more standardized and legible, whether on an individual or facility basis. This module also includes space for supporting photos.
